Custom Dock Systems is a
Third-Generation Family Business

The Front-Runner in Marine Construction

From our humble beginnings of building docks in my father’s backyard on Lake Hartwell, we have steadily grown to be one of the largest marine contractors in the Southeast. However, with this tremendous growth, we have never wavered from our original business concept of “Total Customer Satisfaction.”

Custom Dock Systems, Inc. has always been the front-runner in marine construction, offering the newest, most innovative products, including our own custom-built line of boat lifts. All our products are chosen to enhance the aesthetics of and add durability to our dock systems. Being lake dwellers and avid lake enthusiasts, we are constantly testing new products on our own docks before we offer them to our valued customers.

We offer a reputation for the highest quality construction of boat docks, lifts, and accessories, built over 50 years and three generations of marine service. Our team serves lakes across the United States, with standout projects on South Carolina and Georgia favorites like Lake Hartwell, Lake Keowee, Lake Allatoona, Lake Lanier, Lake Jocassee, Lake Secession, Lake Greenwood, and Lake Thurmond.

Let’s Build Something Special Together

More than 50 years of Building Quality Docks

Custom Dock Systems, Inc. was originally known as Custom Steel and Wood, Inc. With the addition of aluminum dock products and an array of flooring options, we felt the old name did not represent the dock structures we build today.

Custom Dock Systems, Inc. owns and operates two state-of-the-art dock-construction facilities with over 50,000 square feet of fabrication area to meet your needs. One facility is specifically designed for handling, storing, and welding all aluminum docks and related aluminum products. The other facility is designed for steel welding and fabrication. Both facilities are capable of producing structures of any size, from the simple, single-slip private dock to the multi-slip marina project.

We have built thousands of private docks and marina slips for developments you trust for quality, such as The Reserve, Crescent Communities, and The Cliffs Communities. Each slip was custom-built to the owner’s specifications and engineered to withstand all the elements of the property location. We have never sold the cookie-cutter-style dock that can be pulled from a pre-built inventory.

It is with pleasure and pride that we offer you our vast experience and knowledge of marine structures, related products, and your lake’s permitting process. So when you are ready for that custom dock system, please allow us to offer you our no-cost, no-obligation, written price quotation on all your lakefront needs.
